The article makes an attempt to substantiate the need to develop and model the site of an educational and methodological association on the example of the Federal Educational and Methodological Association in the direction “Museology and protection of objects of cultural and natural heritage”. The authors emphasize the fact that educational designing is one of the directions of socio-cultural designing and applied culturology. Given that the use of electronic resources for training personnel in the field of culture and art can be divided into two large blocks: study of available resources and creation of new ones and integration of available resources into a single whole, the proposed model of the site will allow to combine advanced educational and methodological achievements for the preparation of highly qualified, popular staff for museums of the country. The rapid development of information and communication technologies opens new opportunities for educational organizations, providing access to information regardless of the location of the student and the teacher, as well as their access time to the information resource. One of the key problems of the educational practice of preparing students in the direction of “Museumology and protection of monuments of natural and cultural heritage” is the lack of a single methodical resource, the concept and technologies for its creation and use. The analysis it possible to state the absence of a resource combining information on the educational and methodological support of the training course “Museology and protection of cultural and natural heritage sites”, which would allow obtaining information on the training of museum personnel in accordance with the development of higher education in general and the professional museum sphere, in particular. The simulated site will perform several functions: first of all, informational - providing the necessary information to teachers and employees of the educational organization for the development of educational and methodological documentation (basic educational programs, work programs of the discipline, etc.); representative - the formation of a positive image of the association; communication -the possibility of direct interaction with the professional pedagogical community through information and communication technologies. The authors give a description of the content of the site model, which includes the necessary structural elements of both the work of the methodological association and the training of the museologists.
