From the «Final Girl» to a single Great Mother: hollywood horror and the strategy of Post-Humanism

Relevance of the study. With the light hand of Carol Clover in the aesthetics of American cinema firmly established the concept of “Final Girl”, which recorded ambiguous heroics and consumer mythology of Western civilization. As a rule, it is the girl surviving in fight with the screen villain, among the peers torn to pieces by him, neighbors, passersby, police officers and authorities. The didactic significance of this image lies in the reconstruction of the natural model of the formation of the layman's consciousness in order to overcome the internal contradictions and violent conflicts with the surrounding social and natural world. Purpose. The article analyzes the scenarios of the transformation of the archetypal mythology “Final Girl”, which is aimed at compensating for the unique sexual model of modern culture with the energy of sacred maternal images. Tasks. Explore the archetypal drama “Final Girl”; establish the causes of inflation of the sexual ideology of this image; to analyze the features of the formation of anti-consumer mythology “Final Girl”. Methods. The study is based on a complex of psychoanalytic (Freudian and Jungian sense) and semiotic methods that allow you to reconstruct the evolution of the archetypal mythology “Final Girl” in the tradition of American horror films. Research result. At the beginning of the horror film “Final Girl” hardly stands out among peers, but in the climax and denouement of the plot, it turns into a bold, decisive, insightful and cruel, concentrating the features of a Superhero. Such an attribute of this image, of course, points to its archetypal determination, which visualizes the masculine logic of the formation of the “I” of the modern civilized woman. The popularity of this image, however, speaks of its incompleteness, as it ceases to gravitate to the erotic and sexual beginning, but increasingly demonstrates the achievement of a woman of qualities of a fundamentally different kind. In its image begin to dominate not external, physical signs, but rather the meanings presented in socially conditioned actions and acts. Her self-defense against monsters and villains is only partly a result of the desire to survive, on the contrary, her actions are more like samples of social behavior, the analogues of which are found in the instinctive impulses of the female, fiercely protecting her cubs. But the screen space is not the place nor really born her children, nor even their symbolic projections in the form of saved, warmed and comforted by near and far people, animals, objects and artifacts. In fact, “Final Girl “in the process of its victory over the antiHero enters the archetypal space of meanings of the” Great Mother”, whose mythological mission fundamentally denies the Philistine topology of consumer space. This is indicated by the meanings to which eventually begins to gravitate “Final Girl”. In this battle, the final division of the essential and the insignificant is formed, turning her into a medium, a seer, a soothsayer, a Confessor, whose inner experience creates new spaces of culture and civilization. This inner challenge, which the “last girl” as a Great mother throws into the abyss of interspecies competition and instinctive hopelessness, creates it as the only patron of life on the ruins of the once prosperous and prosperous world. Conclusions. Such images are a natural consequence of the development of archetypal mythology, which seeks to compensate for the cruelty and hopelessness of civilizational strategies of power, dreaming to enslave a person with the help of the last remaining biotic needs. The ideological value of such a Hollywood model lies in the formation of the viewer's attitude to the instinctive understanding and protection of basic biotic strategies to almost completely antibiotic social and Planetary space. So the Only Great Mother symbolizes intuitively the found Hollywood producers and Directors scenario visualization last horror-argument posthumanistic and postbiotic world.
