The paper is aimed to consider the latest tendencies in perceiving of European cultural heritage by European citizens. Carrying out analysis of perceiving of European cultural heritage by European citizens is based on the following methods: cultural studies, comparative studies, empirical issues. At the core of issues of Eurobarometer one could find definition of cultural heritage as complex of resourses, which should be preserved, concerved or revived because of their importance for new generations. On the base of the authors analysis of perceiving of European cultural heritage by European citizens several key problems are scientifically grounded. The paper shows that processes of perceiving of European cultural heritage by population are changed in different directions, depending on individual educational level, welfare standards and integrative inspirations. On the other hand, European heritage is included in dynamics of latest technological change, namely in digital paradigm. Our analysis shows: i) lack of archaic character in modern perceiving of cultural heritage; ii) openness to changes at the beginning of the thrird thousands years. Authors stress the fact that European Union escapes creation of unified cultural politics, so that national features of cultural heritage have been preserved their unic character. It is argued in the paper that influence of globalization and post-industrial society often remains separation from traditions of cultural heritage, especially in common culture, and in archaic and industrial leisure-time. Interpretation of European cultural heritage is commonly evaluated as contradict phenomenon. At the same time cultural heritage is included in European mentality and common culture. Special attention of the paper is devoted to Eurobarometer data concerned with interpretation of cultural heritage by separate individuals. Most of them consider cultural heritage first of all as national phenomenon, and only one third of questioning individuals consider cultural heritage as European heritage. 88% of questioning individuals agree with necessity of teaching of cultural heritage in secondary school. In the end authors come to conclusion that, in spite of existing different restrictions, which might prevent individual from using cultural heritage (for instance, lack of free time, financial resourses, information), the idea of necessity of cultural heritage for future generation remains absolutely clear for European citizens.
