Dialogical contacts in the cultural and landscape space of the excursion route “Little Jerusalem” in Yevpatoria as a way to stabilize the spiritual processes of the turn of the millennium
The problem of intercultural interactions remains the center of practical and research interests today. The most active interactions take place at the points of contact of cultures: on the border of regions, ethnic cultures, at the intersections of diverse spiritual processes or artistic traditions. The most illustrative example is the cultural and landscape complex “Little Jerusalem” in the historical center of Yevpatoria, on the basis of which a single tourist route is being built today. The tourist and Educational Complex “Little Jerusalem” has a unique cultural value and opens up the opportunity for visitors to endlessly generate their own unique spiritual meanings. It unites religious sites of different faiths (Jewish, Karaite, Muslim, Orthodox and Armenian religious buildings) and other architectural landmarks. The multi-confessional historical, architectural, spiritual and artistic landscape of “Little Jerusalem” is a symbol in itself, embracing spiritual and natural values, and the confessional diversity of religious buildings and the infinitely expanding inner semiosphere formed in the process of dialogical interaction with them make it a unique culturally motivated space. Religious buildings are organically integrated into the natural environment, and act as the spiritual quintessence of the cultural landscape. Semiotic layers of cultural meanings, “objectified” in the guise of unique creations of the human spirit, create an energy of attraction, a kind of “centers of attraction” for residents of Yevpatoria and tourist groups. Due to the semiotic saturation of the cultural landscape of the “Little Jerusalem”, the recreational interest that arises on the basis of resort and climatic preferences is transformed into deeper forms of cognitive, artistic, aesthetic and axiological aspirations. The study of other peoples’ cultures forms an understanding of the uniqueness and uniqueness of each of them, leads to an awareness of the fundamental cultural equality of peoples and provides a basis for respect for cooperation partners as equivalent subjects of interaction. This is the main condition for forming a position of dialogue at all levels of interaction in the culture of modern humanity. The author declares no conflicts of interests.
