The documentation of architecture and environment: technologies for the knowledge and the spreading of the cultural heritage, an overview
The cultural heritage havecertainly benefited of the wider knowledge of foreign countries and easy and rapid disseminationof information of global society, but together, paradoxically, have been also strengthening localidentities and the defense of local cultures: to build the economy Knowledge will be thereforeonly possible if, in addition to the growth of purely economic sphere, there will be also real conditionsof access, openness and growth of different cultures to a new form of democracy ofknowledge.This contribution wants to give a brief overview of some experiences of building technology platformsdesigned to promote awareness of architecture and the environment and aimed precisely at anadvanced stage of dissemination of cultural heritage that enhances the common value of the Italiancultural and artistic heritage.
