At the origins of culture educationin Tomsk State University

An experiment which was performed in Tomsk State University from 1990 to1992 on supplementary interdepartmental specialization which was later named «culturology» is describedin the article. Senior students of Historical, Philosophical and Philological Departments whowished to receive supplementary education and Tomsk university teachers who warranted the teachingprocess were in experimental groups. The center for culturological research which appeared in thecourse of experiment worked out the programs for courses and special courses of the specialization,organized discussions on university cultural and historical environment problems and on corporatementality formation.
