Change of the social structure of the population and labor resources of the village of the Novosibirsk region in 1957-1964’s

The article examines the structural changes of the Novosibirsk region’s rural population in the period of Khrushchev's reforms in the agricultural sector. It attempts to show some moments in the development of the social sphere in rural areas of the region. On the basis of the reconstruction of the process of structural changes of the rural population and of the degree of its participation in socially useful work the common logic, the main trends and regional specifics are identified. The article also shows that the development of the rural population from 1957 to 1964 was characterized by a high dynamism of social processes and their increasing complexity. The conclusion is that the development of the socialist economy and urbanization which caused the migration of the rural population and the transformation of weak collective farms into state farms were the main factors that had a special impact on the change in the ratio of ownership forms and the corresponding social groups in agriculture during the period under review. In the structure of the rural population dominant social group workers, employees and cooperative of artisans. In the article attention is paid to population ageing and noted in this regard that among the regions of Western Siberia ageing process in the most affected rural areas of the Novosibirsk region. This was caused by a sharp decline in the birth rate (number of children born per thousand rural population was in 1960 30.8 man), and the migration of rural residents to cities (per 1000 inhabitants it was from 1961 to 1965 19,8 people). The focus of the research is the dynamics of the structure of the rural population in social groups, and changes in able-bodied rural population. It is concluded that in General the reduction of rural population has been a sharp reduction in the number of farm population and the increase of workers, employees and the cooperative of artisans, while reducing the birth rate, aging population accelerated and led to the reduction of the working-age population. By early 1961 the number of working-age equals the number of disabled people in the village.
