The spread of Orthodoxy in the outlying territories was, first of all, a part of state policy of the Russian Empire, the way of integration into the Russian state system. Simultaneously with the registration of the administrative-territorial structure of new lands there was the formation of the structures of the Russian Orthodox Church. This article describes the attempts of creation of individual dioceses on the territory of the archdiocese, some information about the Yakut clergymen and number of "monarchic people" in Yakut area, notes the facts of receiving all types of government salaries by spiritual persons of Yakutia, identifies the main reasons for acceptance of a christening by the local population and the dependence of rate of the Christianization on the state regional policy, a priority of which in the middle of XVII - the beginning of XVIII centuries was the incoming of tribute paid off in furs. The growth of the Russian state, inclusion a new citizens in its structure caused cardinal changes in life of the conjoint people which has to interact with new to them political and economic system, coming to submission of the Russian administration. During research, interest of the government in distribution of Orthodoxy that found reflection in the orders which were given to local magistrates is revealed. It is obvious, that during the studied period there was a caution in christening questions when each case was considered by administration without the opinion of clergy. We have found that in the second half of XVII - the beginning of XVIII centuries the Yakut clergy was not numerous, geographically remote from the center and served, in common, the spiritual needs of the Russian population, concentrated in ostrogs, outposts and peasant settlements. It is noted, that the state policy was not directed on extermination of the indigenous people, did not lead to a breach of their way of life and economic structure. The attention is paid to the discussion character of the matter of releasing the neophytes from tribute. The author makes the conclusion that experience of studying history of church in Yakutia gives the opportunity of expansion of scientific idea of integration of the remote regions of the empire into implementation of nation-wide, all-imperial tasks on the ways of loyalty and solidarity with the main values of mentality of the indigenous people on these territories.
