The review considers the reports and messages that were presented at the conference on patriotic education. Among the conference participants were representatives from the cities of Barnaul, Belgorod, Vladivostok, Kostroma, Krasnoyarsk, Kuibyshev, Makhachkala, Novosibirsk, Perm, St. Petersburg, Saratov, Stavropol, Tomsk, Ufa and other places. The conference was attended by: professional researchers, teachers of higher education, museum staff, teachers of educational institutions of the city and region, ethnographers, graduate students and university students, lyceum students, cadets, schoolchildren. The topics of the presented reports and messages were very wide: the specifics of military service in Siberia in the 18th - 20th centuries, foreign military intervention in Siberia and the Far East during the Civil War, children of the war years 1941-1945, the activities of Siberian power structures during the World War II and in the postwar period, Russian war films about the war. A number of reports and messages were devoted to the issues of patriotic education of the younger generation. The authors of these speeches were both scientists and specialists, as well as students, cadets, lyceum students, schoolchildren. Many participants in the scientific conference drew attention to the aggressive, large-scale campaign of falsification of the history of World War II and the Great Patriotic War, which in recent years has attracted both researchers and Western governments of many countries. Therefore, for Russian researchers it is still relevant, not only the identification of new archival documents and materials, but also the publication of the results of scientific works, both in scientific publications and in popular print media and the Internet. The speeches of famous Siberian historians aroused particular interest: V.P. Zinoviev, M.V. Shilovsky, N.D. Rostov, which dealt with topical problems of the military history of Russia in the 20th century. L.A. Bobrov and A.V. Dmitriev presented new approaches to the history of Siberia. R.O. Agavelyan and A.V. Dobrovolsky presented a number of new and interesting facts about the war period in the life of Novosibirsk and its inhabitants. The reports presented at the round table summarized the effective experience of patriotic education in educational organizations, military history and military sports clubs, the successful practice of social design and interaction with the scientific community and law enforcement agencies. Students and schoolchildren, who were distinguished by the maturity of the form and the originality of the content, were especially warmly greeted with presentations on this topic. The speeches of the participants at the plenary session and during the round table were broadcast live for educational, museum and library institutions in the city of Novosibirsk and Novosibirsk region. Based on the results of the conference, a collection of reports and messages will be prepared and published.
