Professor Petr Fedorovich Nikulin
The article is dedicated to the memory of Pyotr Fedorovich Nikulin, professor of the Faculty of Historical and Political Sciences of Tomsk State University (August 10, 1951, - January 31, 2022). Pyotr Fedorovich's life path is an example of becoming a scientist from a village boy to a professor at one of the leading universities in Russia. He was able, although not completely, to realize his creative potential - a gift from God due to the diligence and perseverance laid down by his parents, Old Believers peasants. His scientific works are a tribute to the memory of the main estate of Russia - the peasantry, who went down in history and created a modern industrial and intellectual country with their labors and destinies. He was engaged in the most difficult part of historical science - source studies, the search for optimal methods of analyzing mass sources - agricultural censuses to determine the level and prospects of development of farms of Siberian peasants. He was not only a student of professors of the Faculty of History of Tomsk University, but also a graduate student of academician, Professor of Moscow State University I.D. Kovalchenko. The main conclusion from the works of P.F. Nikulin -the fact that the farms of Siberian peasants were almost 100% natural, regardless of its scale, is confirmed by calculations. According to P.F. Nikulin, the main way of modernization of the peasant world was cooperation, not farming. The authors believe that Pyotr Fyodorovich Nikulin left a noticeable mark in the historical Siberian literature.
