Security community theory in the works of Karl Deutsch and his successors

This article examines the evolution of security community theory from the 1950-s to the present days. Despite all the attempts of modern researchers to establish stricter theoretical framework, the original Deutschean piece still holds. The main issue for the current development of the theory is to determine the right combination of material and constructivist aspects.
