G.N. Potanin about the meaning of the «homeland study» in developmentof Siberian trade at the end of 19th - beginning of 20th century
In modern conditions when Russia makes one more attempt to main western marketeconomy, an investigation of Potanin' s views about the meaning «homeland study» in developingSiberian trade at the end of 19th - the beginning of 20th centuries is of the special actuality. Potaninthought about increasing Russia prestige and considered that the most important thing for Russia is to study trade successfully but not war. According to Potanin's views it could be achieved only on conditionsof modernization of special education of the Siberian merchants.
