Landing of british troops in Kuwait in 1961

The landing of British troops in Kuwait in 1961was one of most successful military operations of the United Kingdom army after the end of World War Two. This testing of the Britishconcept of remote control under the situation in the region to the East from Suez made an impression on the Arab World. By flexing themuscles the government of Harold Macmillan did the same what Sir Antony Eden wanted to do in 1956, but the result was better.
