Estimation of dead time duration in generalized MAP with two states
We consider the problem of estimating the duration of dead time in a generalized MAP-flow of events (Markovian Arrival Process) with two states by the method of moments under conditions of non-extendable dead time of a fixed duration. Explicit types of probability densities for the values of the duration of the interval between the moments of the occurrence of neighboring events of the flow are given in the case of correlated and recurrent assignment of flows. An algorithm for calculating the estimate of the period of non-observability is formulated. Numerical results of calculations of estimates obtained using a flow simulation model and their analysis are presented. Contribution of the authors: the authors contributed equally to this article.
