Simulating of electromagnetic scattering by a structurecomprising dielectric body and thin wire
We use the variant of auxiliary sources method for solution the problem of electromagneticscattering by a three-dimensional dielectric body in the presence of near placed thin wire of finitelength in resonance frequency domain. The gist of the used method is as following. The unknownscattered field in outer medium is represented as a sum of the fields consisting of tangentially orientedauxiliary electric dipoles placed on an auxiliary surface introduced inside dielectric bodyand the field of a continuously distributed auxiliary current on the axis of thin wire. The unknownfield inside dielectric body is represented as a sum of the fields consisting of from tangentiallyoriented auxiliary electric dipoles placed on an auxiliary surface enclosed the dielectric body. Tofind the unknown dipole moments of auxiliary dipoles and current distribution we use the boundaryconditions on the surfaces of dielectric body and thin wire which are satisfied according to thecollocation method. Based on the method described above we developed a computer code for calculatingthe scattered-field components. The capabilities of the code is briefly described. We presentsome results of numerical calculations aimed at analyzing the influence of thin wire onbistatic scattering cross-section and back scattering cross-section of dielectric body.
