I.F. Stravinsky. Opera and a symphonic poem on the story of G.Kh. Andersen «Nightingale»

The article gives a detailed analysis of two works of I.F. Stravinsky by the fairy tale by G. Andersen's "Nightingale " - an operatic and symphonic poem. In these works the composer boldly experimented with genre models and for the first time turned to a new artistic direction - the conditional theater. Conside the features of the interpretation of the plot, the characters, the embodiment of the idea, the authors draw conclusions about the implementation of the principles of conditional theater in the opera "Nightingale " and a symphonic poem on its basis.
