The procedure for reviewing manuscripts of articles received by the editorial office of the scientific and practical journal "Musical Almanac of Tomsk State University" All articles submitted to the editorial office must undergo an independent review. 1. The manuscript of a scientific article received by the editorial office of the journal is reviewed by the executive secretary for compliance with the profile of the journal, the main provisions of the requirements for publications, design, approved by the editorial board of the journal ("Publication standards"). Authors will learn information about the receipt of an article and further change in its status by means of automatic notification by e-mail after making the appropriate changes in the author's profile on the journal's website. 2. Not allowed for publication in a scientific journal: - articles containing previously published material - Articles, drawn up without observing the rules for the design of journal articles; - articles, the authors of which do not fulfill the constructive remarks of the reviewer or do not reasonably refute them; 3. The executive secretary sends the article for review to one or, if necessary, two reviewers. Members of the editorial board of the journal, as well as highly qualified scientists and specialists from other organizations with deep professional knowledge and experience in a specific scientific area can be involved in the review of manuscripts of articles as reviewers. 4. The terms of reviewing are from 30 to 90 days. 5. Reviewing takes place in "blind mode": the author does not know the data about the reviewer (reviewers). 6. If the reviewer indicates recommendations for correcting and revising the article, the executive secretary of the journal sends the text of the review to the author with a proposal to take them into account when preparing a new version of the article or reasonably (partially or completely) refute them. 7. A letter from the authors must be attached to the revised manuscript, containing answers to all comments and explaining all the changes made in the article (highlight the changes in color in a separate file and in the text of the article). The article, revised (revised) by the author, is re-sent for reviewing and the response to the reviewer is attached. The date of receipt of the revised article is considered the date of receipt of the revised article. 8. The editors reserve the right to reject articles if the author is unable or unwilling to take into account the wishes of the editors. 9. An article not recommended by the reviewer for publication will not be accepted for reconsideration. 10. If there are negative reviews of the manuscript or its revised version, the article is rejected with the obligatory notification of the author about the reasons for such a decision. 11. After the editorial board of the journal has made a decision on the admission of the article to publication, the executive secretary of the journal informs the author about this by means of automatic notification and indicates the possible terms of publication. 12. The order of publication of articles is determined by the date of registration of their receipt by the editorial office. Papers devoted to particularly topical problems of science, as well as containing fundamentally new information, may, by decision of the editorial board, be published out of turn. 13. Reviews are kept in the editorial office of the journal for at least 5 years. Copies of reviews can be sent to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation upon receipt of the corresponding request to the editorial office. The editorial board does not enter into a meaningful discussion of articles with the authors, correspondence on the methodology of writing and formatting scientific articles and does not refine the articles to the required scientific and methodological level.
