Edison Denisov. Choral Variations for Trombone and Piano
The article discusses the principles of the interpretation of the variation form in the "Choral Variations for Trombone and Piano" by the Russian composer of the second half of the twentieth century, E. V. Denisov. The authors draw conclusions about the flexible combination of the traditional and innovative in this work, the wide use of various compositional techniques (freely interpreted seriality, sonication and microtonicity), the special significance of the EDS monogram in various transformations and transpositions as a single intonational complex.
