The authors of the article consider the possibility of personal tutorial of the student in the educational environment, as well as how tutoring helps to orient the student to high-quality professional training and form their own individual educational path. The specificity of music education presupposes a three-level system of education: music school specialized college higher educational institution. From the first years of training, this system allows the student to determine the type of performing skill. Thus, the formation of competencies in a student from an early age occurs through a deep immersion in the specifics of a musical educational program, in the study of which he is already focused on the choice of a future profession - the profession of a musician. The task of the teacher is to properly orient, interest and guide the students along their individual ways, the last stage of which is the formation and acquiring of professional skills and competencies in obtaining higher musical education. Such interaction between a student and a teacher at all three levels of education can be compared with tutorial support in the educational process.
