Complex development of an opera singer in the conservatoire
The article outlines the principle of an integrated approach to the training of a vocalist at the conservatory. The necessity of familiarizing the student with the training of Fyodor Ivanovich Chaliapin and the methodological principles of his teacher, as well as with the learning process at the Galina Vishnevskaya Center, is emphasized. Conclusions are drawn about the importance of not only technical skills, which are often given the main attention by students of conservatories; no less, as stated in the article, the emotional and stylistic aspects of understanding the performed work are of importance. The vocalist's auditory development takes place in various directions. This includes controlling the exact intonation, singing in an ensemble, and getting to know new works through reading with a Fox. A vocalist's professional hearing develops when listening to music performed by someone else, both at a concert or Opera performance, and in a recording. By analyzing different versions of the same work under the guidance of a teacher, the vocalist learns to pay attention to various details of interpretation. This combines his knowledge of the style of the work and his musical ear. The selection of a program plays an important role in the complex formation of a vocalist. The national vocal school has the broadest style orientation, and therefore the student must master the program in different styles during the period of study. At the same time, he must not only work it out technically, but also understand and study this style. This approach to teaching performers at the Conservatory will be the basis for the formation of a bright interpreter capable of independent concert or musical theater activities.
