About the work of accompanist with a vocalist: stylistic features of performance and overcoming of intonation difficulties in the belcanto repertoire
The methodological value of this article is that it is addressed simultaneously to singers and pianists - accompanists. Features of vocal performance and the specifics of concertmaster work with vocalists are considered by the authors in close interconnection of artistic and technological tasks, as a holistic creative process of creating an ensemble. The article gives a brief historical and style essay on Belcanto, offers practical recommendations for working on the purity of the song intonation, reveals the tasks of the accompanist when learning musical material and during a joint performance with the singer. In the article, the authors summarize the recommendations of one of the authoritative vocal teachers and experts in Belcanto Manuel Garcia (son) and their many years of experience as teachers in the department of accompaniment of the Russian Gnesin's Academy of Music and accompanists of Moscow opera houses.
