Steampunk in music: from victorian aesthetics to sound experiment

Steampunk is examined as an independent movement in musical culture, situated at the intersection of retrofuturistic aesthetics, technological experimentation, and narrative expression. The key characteristics of steampunk sound are analyzed, including the use of syncopated rhythms, narrative song structures, and the combination of vintage instruments with digital technology. The importance of sound design as a crucial component of steampunk mythology is emphasized.
