«I will be successful if I shall not sit in the local newspaper, for meager wages describing vital activity of proteins in the Academy»: Understanding your own successful first-year students of regional high school in the context of motives of professional activity

The article describes the first year students' notions about the criteria of success of their future occupation. Students of the journalism department were asked to conclude the phrase "I would evaluate myself as a successful in my occupation if I..." The answers revealed the elements of the projecting the professional personality, showed up the students' motives. The essays brought out what reasons they gave for their development, what factors of successes they see. The results also let to correct the conception of work motivation that was suggested by psychologists but was rather far from journalism as occupation. We could see the most appreciable factors for students' justify successes achieved.
