Visual media image of future of a city in local newspaper
The article describes tools of creating image of future of a city used by city newspapers. It highlights this media function in context of urbanism actualization. Among visual tools of creating city future image special role is for infographics as a tool of representing plans, projects and concepts. The article notes that media image has a complex structure, it is compiled on several levels which can be presented as a topical clusters: i. Future development of transport system 2. Future design of urban environment and city architecture 3. Public discussion on strategic ways of city development. Each cluster allows to apply visual tools to create bright and live image of future of a city.
