The article raises the question of the principles, techniques and methods for the selection of high-quality journalistic texts for analysis in the process of preparing student journalists. It is proved that the sampling and analysis methods of high-quality journalistic texts - a problem not only general pedagogical skill of the teacher. It's a question of how is seen and understood the nature ofjournalism itself, the status and principles of the actual creative activity of journalists.
