«Don Valentino» exposes: specificity satire of the V.V. Kuritsyn in the period of cooperation with the satirical cartoon department "Bubentsy"

The paper is devoted to the detailed analysis of satire of V.V. Kuritsyn, an author of famous adventure stories under the general title "Tomskie Trushchoby", «Masked man», «In pursuit of million», «looming in the frame.», «Secrets of the Tomsk night» that were created in the beginning period of his cooperation with the newspaper "Sibirskie otgolosky". The paper gives a view on the corpus of V.V. Kuritsin's (under the name of Don Valentino) publications in a satirical cartoon department "Bubentsy" for the period of 1906-1909; also it signifies their themes and problems. The conclusion is drawn about a specific character of satire works that is peculiar to novel works of the author under study.
