Back to the future? About some problems of genre modeling of periodicals

The article performs an attempt to describe real difficulties of genre-based modelling within local press (newspapers and magazines) modelling and design. The main problem is a typical lack of genre knowledge and conceptions among local press management and students involved in implementation and application of research tasks . Author suggests to explore significant experience of newspaper genre justification, looking through the lens of modern genre processes, terms and resources and find out new possibilities to determine genre categorical system.
