The image of the journalistic profession in the views of students and practicing journalists

The article presents the results of the survey of students of the first and fourth courses areas of learning ««Journalism» Khakass State University N.F. Katanov and creative members of the media. Based on these results a comparison of the views of respondents of different groups about the requirements of a modern journalist, and his professional qualities. The result of this research is the construction of an image of a typical representative ofthejournalistic profession.
