Journalists of the "practitioner" and "researcher": experience in mastering a foreign-language discourse
The article discusses issues and problems in teaching foreign-language discourse in the magistracy of future journalists. To obtain professional competencies, the trainee is offered the combination of such ways as «practical» and «research». Methods of teaching and learning include the mastery of professional vocabulary, maintaining the current state of English, mastering the skills of implementing scientific projects, presentations, individual creative projects. A number of features related to the cognitive perception of the foreign language discourse in the professional activity are explored.
