THE EXPERIENCE IN SCENIC COSTUMES DESIGNING DURING STUDENTS DESIGNERS TRAINING

The culture and education today has undergone significant changes In the process of globalization. Despite obvious positive progress, many researchers have concluded the backlog cultural development from the material and technical progress. Students - designers, whose successful career requires the culture formation of the person, are most affected by this situation. Involve students in folk and traditional creativity promotes the expansion of artistic representations, development of creative imagination, the formation of artistic taste. In accordance with the federal state standard of higher education, scrutiny of folk art culture made within the course «Costume History» (1-4 semesters). The lecture material is secured independent research work during the summer museum ethnography and art history Practice (after 4 semester). At the end of practice students present a report containing the results of research and a series of costumes sketches based on historical patterns. In 2014, at summer museum practice students of the 2nd year of a specialty «costume design» of the Institute of Arts and Culture, National Research Tomsk State University , was working on costumes for the opera «The Tsar’s Bride» by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. At the next academic year these same students are engaged in manufacturing of costumes by their sketches within the discipline of «Implementation of the project in the material». Thus, the entire process of designing and making costumes combines several educational modules and turned into a solid didactic block. According to the results of the final report presented as a ready-made scenic costumes and accompanying explanatory notes, it can be concluded about the possibility of an integrated approach to the content of training projects. Our experience is interesting because: 1. it’s a multidisciplinary didactic unit in designers professional training system; 2. it forming design skills scenic costume in the process of solving real design problems; 3. implies taking accountability for results of their work to the customer, which is also an integral part of the professional designer. Order to develop a series of theatrical costumes provide students with an excellent opportunity to not only get acquainted with the traditions of folk costumes, but also to gain practical experience in the use of its motives for performing real consumer order to design and manufacture stage costume in the training program. In addition, this experience has found several positive effects. First, the initial stage of the use of the national costume as an object of creative interpretation for students is always difficult, because is not easy to create something new on the basis of traditions, formed and polished by time. Scenic costume, based on historical patterns, in this sense, acts a kind of transitive step from the history to the present. Second, attitude students to their historical legacy is becoming more attentive and interested. Now many participants of described experiment in search of inspiration, turn to the folk costume. Thus, the immersion into the world of folk art leads to the development right artistic perception students and makes their subsequent work more professional. Third, images of opera heroes, their fate and the characters are extremely powerful cognitive educational resources, awaken interest in other literary works, instill a taste for the best examples of classical music, thus increasing the spiritual and cultural level of students
