SUBSTANTIATION OF THE TWOFOLD RESULT OF DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATIONAL MEDIA-SPACE OF HIGHER SCHOOL

Nowadays the media technology offers new ways of receiving information. Therefore, the education cannot and should not stand apart from the developmental process of the media means of the human activity. It is necessary to develop the media space, especially use its in the study by the subjects of the educational institution and improve the competence. The result of the media space educational development consists of the two-pronged meaning. The level of the objective aspect (the development of the media space) is the indicator not only a creative potential of the educational institution but also the place and the role of this institution in the educational system. The subjective aspect deals with the studied space from the position of the general and particular ratio. There are low, middle and high levels for the objective aspect. The main criteria are breadth, intensity, social activity and mobility (Jasvin V.A.). The subjective aspect looks like as the reached level of the media competence by students, distinguishing elementary, sufficient and optimal levels, its criteria - motivationally-target, rationally-directed, practically-operational, creative (Fedorov A.V.). The low level of the development: the educational process takes place in not equipped room, the administration has the access to computer networks principally, the lack of the media infrastructure; the networking is not realized with the help of the media technology; the teacher practice bases on the traditional methods and etc.. The elementary level of the media competence corresponds to this level: a student has a narrow range of contact motives with the media; the lack of interest to the media means; the performance of professional tasks is not rationally by means of the media technologies; a student can make only elementary works with the media and etc.. The middle level: there are only necessary specialized rooms; teachers and students have a partial access to computer networks; the forming of the media infrastructure; the interaction of the subjects by means of the networking; the use of the restricted spectrum of the interactive forms and methods (minimum). The sufficient level of the student media competence corresponds to it: a student has a sufficient spectrum of contact motives with the media, possess the media means confidently and knows a great number of the media technologies very good, but he has not the developed creative media activity. The high level: there are additional structures (a media library, a media center), the developed media infrastructure; a high degree of all student participations in the media creative work and etc.. According to this, the optimal level of the media competence rises: along with the previous indicators, the skills of the media creative work elements appear. Transition to higher level is a college capacity for quality changes in the field of the media; they allow functioning more successful and effective in the modern society.
