PRINCIPLES OF PERSONAL-ACTIVITY APPROACH IN DISTANCE TEACHING MATHEMATICS
At the turn of the century the priority of education was shifted from the transfer of knowledge to the development of the student’s personality based on the development of methods of their activity. Within the personal-activity approach in distance teaching mathematics we offer the following principles: 1) The principle of psychological comfort, which is implemented through individual organization of lessons, the possibility to ask the teacher a question through a private online communication and presentations in the webinars. 2) The principle of individualization and differentiation, which is realized through the possibility of creating an individual trajectory of discipline study. We propose to use the levels of skills and motivation as the criteria of differentiation; to divide the flow of students into three groups; and to prepare a relevant training package for each group. 3) The principle of diversity, which represents a flexible variation of forms of educational process, demonstration of the plurality of approaches to the solution of educational tasks, support for initiative and creativity. In particular, it is proposed to stimulate the search of different approaches to solving problems and to organize a review of the tests of other students. 4) The principle of stairs activity, which is a creation of a system of conscious participation of each student in mastering the curriculum whereby a student applies maximum effort for achieving the available goals. It is proposed the content distribution according to the levels of training with the possibility of transition to a higher level. 5) The principle of systematic knowledge storage. The result of learning should become a system views on the studied discipline. The logic of presentation of the classified material differs significantly from the logic of the initial one. Distance learning provides the possibility to supply the students with the content of both types. 6) The principle of self-organization means designing optimal educational process due to the particular organization of feedbacks within the education system. Distance learning gives the opportunity to analyze the nature of follow-up questions and the mechanisms of expression and expansion of mistakes. It enables to increase the efficiency of content due to surveys conducting after mastering the theoretical part of the subject. 7) The principle of training regulation means full planning the structure of the course, strict control of the results excluding falsification. The progress control with the time limit for each task performance is preferred. Adequate measures for falsification abatement are: identification of students by login, software fixing the facts of phasing out the window with the task or block of this possibility and video surveillance over the process of task performance via web-cameras.
