STUDENTS’ E-LEARNING AS A KEY COMPONENT OF FULL- TIME AND CORRESSPONDENCE SCHOOL «A GIFTED CHILD» IN LIPETSK REGION
This article considers main features and results of two-year experiment of full-time and correspondence school “A gifted child” in Lipetsk region. This school is aimed at the support of students showing abilities in certain subjects in order to develop their mentality and to encourage their participation in different intellectual contests and competitions. Within a year (2011-2012) the school has graduated more than 800 students in Lipetsk and Lipetsk region. Their choice of the form of e-learning was determined both by economic efficiency (territorially remote participants can take part in united process of training from their main place of study) and access to a few number of teachers with high qualification whose experience and techniques can not be duplicated. There is no doubt that similar systems and techniques available for other regions have been studied in the process of e-learning organization for gifted children, nevertheless, there are also different aspects of the e-learning model concerning local features. Thus, the regional demand assessment of city-forming enterprises for these or those experts is an important stage of e-learning organization for gifted students as well as the analysis of students’ participation results in All-Russian Olympic Contest on different subjects where the distance support is chiefly urgent. The school “A gifted child”, whose work effectiveness is controlled by the regional education authorities, should have as an obligatory component a subsystem monitoring of regional participation in full-time and correspondence education. The subsystem monitoring operates with the criteria of efficiency which are formulated by the group of experts including specialists from the regional education authorities, regional representatives, and teachers who execute this project. For example, these can be the criteria of fulfilled educational modules number, student’s average assessment, or the number of students being trained at full-time and correspondence school in a regions, etc. The differentiation of criteria importance is regulated by corresponding indices which can be adjusted on demand of monitored function strengthening of this or that criterion. A particular question is the choice of a mathematical technique for subsystem monitoring which can be based both on classical statistical procedures in an elementary case and on methods of indistinct mathematics, for instance, the rules of an indistinct logical conclusion.
