THE PROBLEM OF EFFECTIVENESS IMPROVEMENT OF TRAINING SYSTEM FUNCTIONING
At the moment the problem of effective and objective control of student’s knowledge, minimally dependent on subjective judgment of the teacher, is quite acute. Taking into consideration the level of knowledge minimizing various risks is possible through information technology, namely, automated systems of teaching and knowledge checking (electronic textbooks, testing systems, exercise-training education systems, etc.). This article is devoted to research and analysis of currently existing algorithms of such systems. This article discusses the methods of organizing learning in automated systems, control methods. And, finally, identifies the main development paths to improve efficiency training systems. Training-teaching system (TTS) is a software and hardware that include methodological, training and organizational support of the educational process; this is based on the informational technologies. Such systems are used in studies of various kinds of disciplines, different forms of education (as they make possible to use distance learning) and are the basis for further development and creation of new informational technologies in teaching. Use of information technology activates the educational process, as well as causes it to customize. TTS provides students with the opportunity to select the pace of learning, automatically determine the level of preparedness of the student and impose material and control measures in accordance with this standard. Multimedia capabilities of modern computers make education more visible and thereby increase students’ interest in the educational process. Training-teaching system can control the motivation of students. Great importance in enhancing the effectiveness of the learning process is part of the game (e.g. visual counting of “winning” points for correct answers and comparing with the results of other students), the use of audio and visual effects, motivating replicas of the program with hints of humor, etc. There are 4 types of training programs: - training and monitoring; - mentoring; - simulation and modeling; - educational games. In the field of modern education system most common are the first and second types, because they have relatively low complexity software implementation. Rely on the information above we can make a conclusion that for effective implementation of the educational process the training-teaching system must provide the following functions: - applying new adaptive test control algorithms; - using in tests multimedia capabilities of computers; - reducing the amount of paperwork and accelerate the calculation; - simplifying administration and testing all year-round; - providing comfortable conditions for testing; - increasing the secrecy and efficiency of information transmitted, reducing the costs for organization of testing. To implement the functions presented above the training-learning system must meet the following requirements: - visibility; - information value; - multifunctionality. Improvement of at least one of these requirements increases the efficiency of the training-teaching system.
