A WAY TO SCHOOL EDUCATIONAL PROCCES MODELING
Introduction of information technology in education is a very rapid process. In 90s of 20th century the development of information resources for educational purposes was carried out by large software firms or individual enthusiastic teachers. Nowadays, educational software developers and customers are university and school teachers, besides anyone, who is not even experienced in programming, can create his own training system based on Open Source-systems, for example, Moodle. Number of opportunities for learning via computer technologies grows exponentially, but often the educational system quality suffers, because they are mostly used as a simple repository of teaching material and testing system. For development of “really educational” system it is necessary to create an approximation to actual learning process, to simulate the structure of learning process and various relationships of its parts. Learning process, as any social and economic process is a quite complex formal language, therefore there are many modeling approaches to do it. The paper offers one of the possible approaches to the educational process description, i.e. deductive and inductive approach. It considers the particularity of the process in terms of its subjects, who are the student and the teacher. Subsequently, as these subjects interact closely with each other, we can join the parts of the system into a single structure. Functional model enables to describe mathematically internal relationships within the system and take into account the subjects’ interaction of the process. The theory of elementary automatic machine, making it possible to predict the output data based on the input, as well as some presets of each circuit block are assumed as a basis of the model. The model permits to describe the system in terms of input data, output data, parameters and functions of each component. The input data for the system are the knowledge, skills and experience not only of the student but also of the teacher. The output data of the system are the knowledge and skills, which students obtain during the educational process, as well as its evaluation presented in a special score or score-rating system. The data stored in the system, i.e. state parameters are teaching and testing material, collected by the teacher in accordance with national educational standards, requirements for educational and assessment material. Furthermore, the paper describes system functions, which allow reorganizing the input data into the output in accordance with the educational process. This educational system description makes it possible to use this model as the basis for a unified information environment of secondary education.
