Using social networks in the course of professional formation of specialists

The paper is focused on the development of approaches to a problem of social networks using in vocational training of specialists with major in engineering. With the designing of an educational technique the main are the competence and activity methodological approaches. In the course of vocational training it is noticeable that the share of interactive tasks within extracurricular contact and independent student work is obviously insufficient. Intensification of the educational process becomes possible by means of using information technology on a new methodological plane. Subject to many of technical educational institutions have become universities which train personnel for all sectors of regional economy, it is reasonable to expand the range of approaches to the organization of professional activities for students. It is necessary to develop in students invariant components of proficiency for activity, their mutually enriching interaction not only with the teacher and other students, but also with specialists from leading companies in the field and other persons concerned. It becomes possible by means of organization of special educative training in social networks. In the context of specialist training for innovation sphere the role of social networks in formation and integration of common cultural and professional competences is rather vital. This can be implemented in the process of students’ interaction in social networks in order to find the solution of task of integrative nature. Social networks as a part of the information environment of informal education have the potential to expand the educational space through the involvement of interns and workers from enterprises, leading specialists from scientific organizations and scholars from other regions. These professionally-aimed communities organized in social networks provide the access for any who wish to take part in discussing scientific problems. It is advisable to use a blog “Live Journal” as a central component of informal education via social networks. Informal education can be integrated into the curriculum and organization system of the university. The research results can be used to improve the educational process at the university by means of the organization of professional social networking.
