Vocational training of masters of education in designing information and educational environment of educational organization

The article presents technologies of blended learning in subject “Fundamentals of designing information and educational environment of educational organization” aimed at vocational training of Masters of Education. The content of the discipline is directed at development of specific competencies: ability to operate with the basic concepts and regularities in the field of information technology; qualification for development of information and educational environment at the up-to-date level of educational computerization. The structured teaching materials of the discipline are developed by means of interactive services and multimedia technologies. The training complex is realized by Moodle (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) at the educational portal of Omsk State Pedagogical University. The electronic educational complex of subject contains multimedia presentations for lectures, instructions for practical workshops, links to additional online resources, a forum, a glossary, interactive tasks for self-control and a database of works designed by students. The theoretical material is presented in the form of a complex of multimedia presentations for self-study. Students are suggested to complete an electronic glossary after acquisition of each topic. Interactive tasks are automatically generated from the elements of the glossary. A complex of problematic issues is developed for discussions during lectures. Some of the topics are submitted to independent study and discussed during a virtual seminar by means of BigBlueButton system. The laboratory workshop is presented in the form of a complex of electronic resources. In the reports the students present screenshots of their work process with comments. Additional training materials are developed for each laboratory work. The laboratory workshop includes interactive tasks in services learningapps.org, ClassTools.net. It makes possible to organize automated check of knowledge of the functions and interface of software under study. Some of the lab tasks assume students’ team work. Thus, for instance, an analytical table of comparing functionality of complex software environments for realizing ITS of educational organization is represented in the form of a wiki-page. In the course of study of functionality of blogging the students create a collective mental map at MindMeister.com service. The Masters create an information and educational environment project for the organization in which they work. This provides realization of the educational process in conditions of competence approach and new educational standards of higher education.
