Framing organization of Information as a way to form knowledge system
Information space of the society is a complex system, which exists as the result of people’s work. The modern post-industrial information society is undergoing a metamorphosis in the methodological organization of information. Education science cannot stay away from this objective process. Due to the ever-increasing information stream of post-industrial society and the existence of a large number of information sources, methods of learning and cognitive activity of students in the traditional class-and-lesson system do not encourage the growth of systematic perception of information and the transfer of information into knowledge. Reducing speed and increasing the efficiency of information using searching services such as, for example, Google, a society’s information field imposes no longer the necessity of man’s awareness of causality of events and phenomena, systemic understanding and system knowledge. Even if this fact improves the quality and speed of information in the daily life of the individual, in the learning process at school this fact of modern information society, becoming a part of everyday reality, not only prevents the translation of data into information and then into knowledge, but also harms seriously the education process. The system knowledge refers to knowledge that is structured in the student’s mind as follows: basic scientific concepts - basics - investigation - application (fact-event-effect). Frame-organizing information system is impossible without systemic perception. Framing is a (tool) system of perception. The frame is to be understood as an abstract model, the minimum possible description of the nature of any object, phenomenon, event, situation and process. We believe that the frame is a clearly delineated (fixed) boundary of knowledge, represented in the form (ideal) that separates “my” knowledge of “my” ignorance, that is, external information flow. The main task of framing is to ensure its assimilation (transformation into knowledge) and transfer to long-term memory by framing organization of new information. Frames help to systemize information, but the system knowledge is a result of the system of perception. The possibilities of framing knowledge organization can increase by the use of ICT.
