The article is devoted to models of the relationship between the computerization of the educational process and formation of information competence of students. Information competence is one of the most important personal and professional qualities, whose adaptation of the individual to the information society and the possibility of effective application of information technologies in every sphere of human activities is one of the most important tasks of non-interruptive education. In this article the research problem is what are the main factors and conditions of development of information competence of students in educational establishment. Significance of information competence is steadily increasing due to the increase in volume, intensity and complexity of information processes in the world. Computerization is impossible without information competence of the individual in any sphere of human activity. In this regard, educational science considers formation of information competence as a social system of continuous order of education. The authors note that the computerization of education and formation of information competence of students are synergistic processes to ensure sustainable links between them. On the one hand, information competence of the teacher and a certain degree of computerization of the educational process are the initial conditions for the formation of information competence of students and knowledge mastered from a discipline (computerization of education is a significant factor in the development of subject domain). On the other hand, the increasing information competence of students increases the degree of computerization of the educational process, as students with an appropriate level of knowledge of the discipline and information competence can be involved in the completion of computer support of the educational process (primarily information and educational resources). To reveal socio-cultural potential of educational computerization, it is necessary to make permanent synchronous and interrelated two processes - the formation of information competence of educational process and expanding its computer support systems. Authors proposed mathematical model of such a relationship. The article substantiated that computerization of the educational process is the main socio-cultural factor in the formation of information competence of students.
