DISTANCE learning TECHNOLOGIES IN TRAINING SYSTEM FOR MILITARY

The modern trends of the informational process of society can highlight the new features of communication tools. It characterizes the system of high education in general and the system of military education in particular. The structural changes to the Russian military system of education, caused by ongoing reforms in the Armed Forces, led to the needs of searching for new forms and methods of training highly qualified specialists, more effective distance educational technologies that would enable to bring the training of Russian militaries to the highest level. Unfortunately, distance education in the military education system of our country is only at the research and development stages while foreign armies actively implement distance learning technology in the training systems of military professionals. The specific of the military training activities, as well as the use of distance learning technologies in training military specialist are problematic. Therefore, resolution of the issues and concerns are expected through implementation of blended-learning in the educational process. The implementation of blended-learning technologies into the system of military specialist training makes it possible to form a new paradigm of military education in the Russian Federation; to increase the level of informational competence as one of the professional competencies of the military specialist; to increase the motivational level of trainees to use informational technology in their future profession and to ensure the satisfaction of quality of military majority and availability of education services, as well as commanders and chiefs satisfaction of the required level of the subordinates; to increase the effectiveness of the training and educational processes of military specialists; to use the potential of the universities for implementation of continual principle of military education as well as officer training before retiring; significantly reduce the financial costs and time consuming of training of military skilled professionals. From our point of view, the blended-learning meets completely the needs for improving the military education system and qualification requirements to the training of military professionals providing them with knowledge of all necessary informational competences. Professional competence of military specialists must be formed on the base of integration of the traditional and innovative technologies by using modern tools and methods of computer and distance educational technologies.
