DIGITAL LITERACY AND HUMANITARIAN CULTURE OF THE TEACHER IN INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE

Based on a review of the latest official sources this article maintains that the development of e-learning is the key infrastructural component of modern educational process and an important trend of the Russian state policy in the field of education. The author considers an operational aspect of the contemporary information-intensive educational practice and argues that digital literacy is a crucial prerequisite of a full participation of a pedagogue in the educational process. Digital literacy is regarded as the key functional literacy, which makes it possible to express informational needs and create new information products using digital gadgets, digital resources and technologies, as well as to show readiness to participate in educational information interaction. The author believes that doing away with gadgets will obstruct effective education. Electronic learning resources are viewed as a combination of three elements: electronic content, informational and pedagogical design. The author proposes to view the informational and pedagogical design of e-learning courses as a characteristic of the informational and communicative competence of a pedagogue. The article substantiates the humanities principle in e-learning providing animated and emotional “live” communication of students with each other and their pedagogue. The humanities principle requires a command of moderation principles and “live communication” technique. Therefore, it is necessary to disseminate humanitarian technologies providing dialogues, interactivity and reflexivity of educational process. For instance, reflexivity in e-learning will make good the deficit of real communication between students and pedagogue. The author deliberately uses the term “pedagogue” paying attention to the nurturing function of a teacher, university instructor or tutor. In the author’s opinion the main attention nowadays should be focused on the humanization of student and educators’ activity within the informational and educational environment. It has been argued that a pedagogue needs to combine digital literacy with the culture of emotional and pedagogical impact and communication. It will enable to overcome the deficit of personal knowledge, preserve and develop of human nature in a virtual educational space. Obviously, modern innovative activity of an e-learning tutor translates a dream into reality of many generations of teachers striving for maximum freedom in pedagogical activity. However, if humanization of e-learning is put aside, the tutors will regret that there is so little real pedagogy in their work.
