USE OF INTERNET RESOURCES IN DISTANCE LEARNING OF STUDENTS IN HUMANITARIAN DISCIPLINES
Distance form of training is connected with the Internet environment and organizes its educational content in it. The main task of the teacher who works with distance students is to teach them how to use Internet resources as a set of materials necessary for self-mastering of the discipline and forming the required competencies. The article discusses the use of Internet resources for the teacher to work together with students in social networks with the aim of motivating them to study humanitarian disciplines; it is also exploring the processes of forming of the critical thinking of students by means of Internet resources and acquiring corresponding general cultural competences. The authors analyze the effectiveness of various forms of independent work offered to students during the study of humanitarian disciplines. Currently, social networks are some of the most popular services used by most of the Internet audience. The possibilities of social networks can be used in pedagogical activity, in distance education for the organization of effective collective work of a distributed training group, for the formation of critical thinking in the process of teaching students to humanitarian disciplines, for the coping of the basic general cultural competences by students. Developed critical thinking allows students to gather the information correctly (in the Internet also), to argue and to justify their position, to formulate an Internet request loud and clear, to use and interpret abstract ideas, to interact with people in the search for new solutions. Critical thinking is realized in different forms of independent work of students offered in humanitarian distance learning courses. The range of forms of these works is very wide and includes solving philosophical problems, drawing up their own creative portrait, filling in the business interaction models by the empirical material, creating of case studies in the system of pedagogical interaction, developing an image of a business person on the material of a fiction or a movie, creating a rhetorical portrait of a contemporary. The most common among them are the essay and analytical essay. The variety of creative forms offered for independent work of the student in different humanitarian disciplines is conditioned by the need to make the education holistic, interesting, useful and effective. That makes certain demands on the teacher: to be an active participant in Internet communication, to take part in the work of thematic scientific and pedagogical communities, to constantly update educational resources, and to monitor their reliability.
