THE PHENOMENON OF THE MODERN DISTANCE EDUCATION
The article explains the phenomenon of distance education and its specificity. This paper discusses innovative technology that has set TO a new level of popularity and human demand. The globalization of the Internet contributes to the development of online learning. Such concepts as interactivity, adaptability, multimedia are now of the first importance. Interactivity is the key for quality student learning, when students interact with the system, the main consumption of information takes place. Adaptability is a new but not less important factor for the use of distance learning system. Due to adaptability students are able to customize the system to their individual settings, giving the characteristics of their perception as well as peculiarities of the physical development. Multimedia technologies give the possibility to create really rich environment for learning. The modern system of education is based on the synthesis of multimedia: graphics, animation, video, sound, etc. The ability to affect the organs of perception of different properties improves the assimilation of information. One of the most important characteristics of distance learning is the possibility to learn independently at any convenient time and location for the student. Independent learning has a positive effect on the learning process, making it learner-oriented, which contributes to the development of the individual student, promotes his skills and ability to work. The focus was formulated in the conclusions about the problems of implementation of distance learning system.
