Explication of metaphors of education as a method the study of pedagogical communication in distance education
Distance learning, as a form of higher education, implemented by the telecommunication technology is experiencing the same problems as the whole system of education. Modern education is in transition process. Its characteristics are a combination of turbulence and inertia. The turbulence is associated with the simultaneous multi-vector development, presence in the same time a large number of innovations that are often borrowed from foreign experience. The inertia is associated with the tendency of the higher education system to the traditional techniques, forms, reflecting the value orientation of education, combining the actual educational and training components. The ratio of the turbulence and the inertia of education is situational, but when they lose the balance between them, the threat of the collapse of the education system and its integrity increases. To assess the situation in the education system the metaphor of education as language universals would help, fixing certain semantic region, organizing a certain prospect in it. The article discusses the metaphor of education that reflects its current status: metaphors of the organism and the exchange, purchase and complicity. The metaphor of the organism allows you to see the education system en bloc, discover its pain points and is strategic. The metaphor captures the dominant exchange process in the education system, defines the system queries at this stage of its functioning without exhausting its purpose. The metaphor of exchange is functional. The Information and communication nature of modern education focuses on the communicative processes in education that makes the metaphors of purchase and complicity important. The article presents a correlative analysis of metaphors of the organism and analysis of the exchange of metaphors of purchase and complicity. A study of pedagogical communication in distance is researched in order to determine the prospects of its development as a means of updating the educational component of the educational process in General.
