Using satellite telecommunication for resolve regional social problems

Tomsk state university (TSU) always been aware of the importance of telecommunication technologies for promotion and elaboration of Tomsk region. Tomsk interregional teleport has been providing satellite communication channels for more than ten years. Mission of Teleportis to create and develop a unified educational information field and to assist in the activities of educational organizations with satellite technologies. Teleport provides a full range of multi-service services: broadband Internet, TV and radio broadcasting. Schools and colleges located in remote areas take opportunity to use broadband Internet only with satellite technologies. It’s also an opportunity to use unique TSU educational resources such as TSU scientific library founds, educational videos, TSU datacenter resources. VSAT satellite technologies features helps in university research works in all Russian regions and same foreign countries.
