Organizational culture and change management in focus of measurements

Objective: The analyze of the field of research in the field of measurement of organizational culture. The description of the most convenient, efficient and least costly measure by which it is possible in the short term to diagnose organizational culture. Presentation of the results of the proven OCAI techniques in education. Methods: A content analysis. Results: The necessity of changes in organizational culture of the higher education departments are proved in the article. On the basis of the comparative analysis with popular measurement models of organizational culture the advantages of the OCAI method are shown. Diagnostics by OCAI technique is the most acceptable instrument of measurement if it is estimated according to a validity, time/material inputs and carrying out researches by the institution staff. The approval of this technique is presented on the example of the pilot sociological study conducted in one of the departments of higher educational institution. Scientific novelty: It is revealed that OCAI contributes to solving the main problem, which is stated by A. Toffler, namely the adaptation of organizations to changes in the management of OC. The advantages of using OCAI are described. Based on the research problem, the solution identified which will contribute effectively to the management of individual departments of a university. A set of measures to promote rapid, effective reform of institutions of higher education is described.
