Peculiarities of modern women's political movement
In the article "features of modern political movement of women" discusses General approaches to the study of political activity, reveals the specific features of the women's movement in Russia, among which the most important seem to be: - lack of awareness of their civil rights activists, their low level of knowledge and legal awareness, lack of ability to protect their rights; - underestimating the need for political participation; - insufficient development of the relationship of feminist theory and practice of the women's movement; - narrow social base, fragmentation and "elitism" of the movement; - the absence of strong female leaders; - the incorporation of independent NGOs to government agencies; - lack of material resources to support infrastructure, social movements, and especially the women's movement; - the absence of a national women's ideas, able to lead the women's movement in the direction of consolidation; - distrust of attempts to organizational coordination "from top to bottom" in which are infringing on the autonomy; - the lack of real work on building coalitions within women's NGOs and other social and political forces, including parties, trade unions, etc. The women's movement is very diverse and in social structures and ideological orientation, however, argues in the public consciousness and in the consciousness of the women themselves world-view that divides the view of woman as the subject of history, which gives women the right to own choice role in society. The requirement of equal opportunities, which certainly is more than a simple equality - gender requirement implies the protection of the rights and interests of both women and men taking into account the specificity of each subject's socio-sex groups. Russian society as a whole needs to understand that only gender harmony is the way to a civilized and comfortable society and the state, which comfortably worthy female and male individuals -citizens of the country. It is no exaggeration to say that it is active, enterprising and persevering women's movement, constantly working on improvement of their professional and political level, can become a key factor in the implementation of all positive changes in the status of the female population in achieving the goal of gender equality. Achieving gender balance requires political will, legislative, effective economic and social policies.
