The "three-dimensional" image of science. A reply to the opponents
In response, a brief comment to the critical remarks is presented, as well as a summary of the discussion. The author provides further arguments in favor of the thesis that science and technology repeatedly increased physical strength of humans, human power over nature and created conditions for a prosperous existence, but this did not affect human morality. In contrast to this, there are increased global risks that threaten the destruction of the humankind, examples of which are global and local wars. The increase of the negative effects of technological development has not only failed to offset the growing moral consciousness, but also leads to a crisis of the latter in the consumer society. Science in overcoming this crisis has no chance to replace other forms of social consciousness.
