DO THE PRESOCRATICS WERE NATURAL PHILOSOPHERS? (FALES'S «WATER» AS «TRANSCENDENTAL» PROBLEM).

The subject of analysis in this article is «arhe» as original cause, which was indicated by Greek natural philosophers in their metaphysical search of utmost grounds of the world. The author gives the conclusion, that «water», «air», «soil» and so on express natural elements, but they are not natural elements themselves. They are metaphysical constructions in their functional purpose.
