On the concept of information in the context of contemporary investigations in the areas of semantics and artificial intelligence
The concept of information is considered in the article. The areas of semantics, artificial intelligence, mathematical theory of information and philosophy of information society are analyzed. The author asserts that the concept of information is very ambiguous in contemporary literature. An attempt of classification and critical analysis of different points of view on the concept of information is realized in the article.
